Simpson & Marwick's employment law team now has five
partners following latest hires.
Simpson & Marwick is delighted to announce the Partner
appointments to our expanding Employment law team of Robert King
from HBJ Gateley LLP and Chris Phillips from Maclay Murray &
Spens LLP. Robert will be based in our Glasgow office and Chris in
Edinburgh, but like the existing team they will work with clients
across Scotland and beyond. Both Partners are accredited
specialists in employment law, and bring with them reputations for
excellence.
This important development provides the firm with a five-Partner
team to service the employment needs of businesses and individuals
throughout the UK from offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen,
Dundee, Newcastle and London.
The firm now holds an impressive total of six accredited
specialists in employment law, and two Solicitor Advocates, with
the team having unequalled experience in representing clients in
Tribunals across the UK, at the Employment Appeal Tribunal, Inner
House of the Court of Session, and Supreme Court.
Managing Partner, Peter Anderson, says: "The recruitment of such
high calibre individuals demonstrates the firm's commitment to
growth in this key area of our business. I am delighted to welcome
Robert and Chris to the firm and look forward to them contributing
to the continued development of the employment team's excellent
reputation."
Robert further expresses his enthusiasm in his move to the firm,
adding: "I am delighted to be joining a team with such a strong
reputation for excellence in employment law and I look forward to
developing our employment law services throughout Scotland,
particularly in Glasgow and west central Scotland."
Chris added: "Simpson & Marwick has a formidable reputation
in the market and already boasts some of the best employment
lawyers in the country. The opportunity to further enhance the
firm's offering in this key area, particularly for business
clients, is a tremendous one."
These are significant appointments for Simpson & Marwick.
Our employment law team is now ideally positioned to provide a
comprehensive range of solutions and services to clients throughout
Scotland and the United Kingdom in this expanding area of practice.
