Tribunal Award Limits - Latest Increases

As from 1 February 2007, there are increased limits to Tribunal awards. For practical purposes, the most important increase is to the maximum week's pay for the purposes of calculating payments such as statutory redundancy and a basic award in unfair dismissal claims. That figure increases from £290 to £310. Hopefully of more academic interest, the maximum compensatory award that can be made in an unfair dismissal claim increases from £58,400 to £60,600.
