We are delighted to announce that Simpson & Marwick won the
Litigation Firm of the Year Award at this year's Law Awards of
Scotland. The awards were presented at a ceremony in Glasgow's
Crowne Plaza Hotel on 13 September.
The Law Awards of Scotland, in association with O2, involve a
two-stage judging process designed to make them the only truly
independent legal awards in the country. Around 5000 clients and
legal professionals were asked to rate the best law firms and
individuals. Those that received the highest ratings were then
invited to submit a report outlining why they deserved to be named
as winner in their category. These reports were assessed by a
judging panel chaired by Mhairi Richard QC. A record number of
entries were received for the awards, now in their fourth year.
Diane McGowan, Partner at Simpson & Marwick (pictured
receiving the award on behalf of the firm from Derek Hamilton),
