A happy New Year from Simpson & Marwick. In our first issue of 2009 we report on two recent cases on personal injury, a decision by the court exercising its discretion to allow a historic abuse case to proceed when the defenders argued that it was time barred, and provide information on the changes announced by the Scottish Government on legal aid in civil actions.
