A sharp and dedicated lawyer, assisting commercial and
insurance clients.
David has considerable experience of defender litigation,
handling the full range of employer's and public liability claims,
road traffic and insurance recoveries. He successfully defends both
commercial and insurance clients in sheriff court and Court of
Session actions, applying incisive argument, skilled negotiation
and a strong-minded approach.
A keen sportsman, David enjoys running, football and ski-ing.
His favourite holiday destination is Italy and he hopes to take
Italian lessons before he next visits.

from 2011.
David is a member of The Law Society of Scotland and a Notary

Recent notable work includes:
Magill-v-Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Limited
(2011). David conducted the advocacy and successfully
defended a major tour operator in the Sheriff Court where it was
held that they were not liable to compensate passengers for any
expenses incurred following the eruption of the volcano in Iceland
in April/May of last year. The decision has since been relied upon
by judges in English County Courts.
