A skilled family lawyer with a particular interest in
child law.
Donna is a talented and experienced lawyer who offers a full
range of family law services. Trained in collaborative family
law, she successfully resolves the majority of her caseload outside
Court, but also represents clients regularly in courts throughout
Scotland. Donna has particular expertise and interest in disputes
concerning children, and also advises on the division of assets
following the breakdown of relationships.
Donna enjoys music and dance, and plays accordion with a
Scottish orchestra. A foreign travel enthusiast, she has
particularly enjoyed touring with the orchestra abroad.

Qualified 2002, joined Simpson & Marwick 2005, Associate
from 2010.
A member of the Family Law Association, Society of Advocates
in Aberdeen, Scottish Collaborative Family Law Group, North
East Scotland Collaborative Law Association and The Law Society of
Scotland.
Recent notable work includes:
Donna is one of the very few lawyers to have conducted a Proof
concerning a claim by a cohabitant under section 28 of the Family
Law (Scotland) Act 2006. She also acted in the first Aberdeen case
heard under the Adoption and Children (Scotland) Act 2007 whereby
her client adopted her civil partner's biological children.
