An efficient and adept lawyer, with extensive sheriff
court experience.
An experienced litigator, Katie successfully represents her
clients in the sheriff courts, defending employer's liability,
public liability and road traffic actions. She is an important
contributor to our first class personal injury team. As supervisor
of a team managing lower value insurance claims, Katie is involved
with the development of innovative technology and procedures across
the firm in order to deliver the highest quality cost effective
service to clients.
Katie is an accomplished athlete. She competes regularly on her
mountain bike and in 2010 won the Scottish Cross Country Masters
Series and Championship. She particularly enjoys endurance cycling
and last year placed second in a 24 hour mountain bike
race.
Career
Qualified 2004, joined Simpson & Marwick 2002, Associate
from 2011.
Katie is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and
The Law Society of Scotland.
