A knowledgeable lawyer and solicitor advocate with
a comprehensive litigation practice.
Steven successfully represents his clients in a wide range of
personal injury actions, including public liability, employer's
liability and road traffic cases. A familiar face in the sheriff
court, he is experienced in both defending and pursuing
professional negligence claims and has represented major oil
companies in multi-defender civil claims arising from offshore
accidents. Steven has particular expertise and interest in
commercial disputes, including representing clients in the
construction and oil and gas industries in commercial litigation,
debt recovery and insolvency proceedings. He also advises regularly
on the interpretation of contractual indemnities and hold harmless
agreements.
In 2012 Steven was admitted as a solicitor advocate with rights
of audience in the Court of Session and Supreme Court.
Steven is passionate about sport, particularly football, golf
and cricket, and is also a regular attendee at the gym. His
favourite novel is Rabbit at Rest, the concluding work in the four
part series by the American author, John Updike, which won the
Pulitzer Prize in 1991.
