Douglas is Head of the School of Arts and Humanities at the
University of Stirling and Professor of employment law at the
University of Stirling. He has worked with Simpson & Marwick as
a consultant for over ten years, providing advice and expertise on
a wide range of areas including employment law and negligence. He
has published extensively in these fields. His most recent book is
The Law of the Employment Contract (2008), and he has authored
numerous influential articles in respected publications such as the
Industrial Law Journal. Douglas represents clients of the firm at
employment tribunals, he leads the firm's training and development
programme and he assists with trainee recruitment.
Douglas enjoys socialising and sampling real ale. His favoured
holiday destination is Prague.
