A Solicitor Advocate, with in-depth knowledge and
experience of Employment Law.
Alan qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2004, and has rights
of audience in the Supreme Courts. He appears regularly in the
Court of Session, successfully representing clients in proofs,
debates and appeals. His expertise extends to a broad caseload,
including commercial disputes, sports law and personal injury
claims.
With in-depth knowledge and experience of employment law, Alan
has responsibility for this area of practice within the Edinburgh
office. He advises clients on all aspects from recruitment to
dismissal.
Career
Qualified 1991, joined Simpson & Marwick 1997, assumed
Partner 2001.
Solicitor Advocate. A member of The Law Society of Scotland.
Alan is a regular speaker at external and internal conferences
and seminars. He was formerly a part-time tutor at the University
of Strathclyde.
