A skilled lawyer specialising in medical and
professional negligence.
Duncan is an experienced litigator and a key member of the
medical defence team rated highly in both Chambers and the Legal
500. His clients include medical and dental professionals, their
unions and insurers, and he offers his professional negligence
expertise to surveyors, accountants and independent financial
advisors. Duncan is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate with rights
of audience in the Court of Session. He has represented his clients
in proofs, fatal accident inquiries, appeals and debates.
A keen traveller, Duncan has been involved in charity work in
both Africa and India. He has also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, acted
in Bollywood and met the Dalai Lama.

which involved a refusal to indemnify the pursuers in terms of a
contract of legal expenses insurance.
