Our healthcare unit is just the tonic
Across every profession and in all arenas, Simpson & Marwick
provides advice, assistance and advocacy. We act for major medical
defence organisations, insurers and for individuals. We work with
our clients to resolve disputes at the earliest opportunity and
with the minimum of inconvenience. But when litigation is
unavoidable we are peerless in marshalling the best resources.
Regulating for the unexpected
From the earliest stage of a disciplinary or regulatory matter,
we can assist - through every stage from internal investigations to
hearings before regulatory bodies. We regularly act before the
General Medical Council and General Dental Council. We also advise
on judicial review of regulators' decisions.
Healthcare regulation often overlaps with employment disputes
and with our strong employment law unit we are well placed to cover
all angles.
Strength in depth
From Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Dundee our healthcare unit
is on hand to provide timely assistance. We currently represent
professionals from the Shetland Islands to the Solway Firth -
providing expertise wherever it is required.
Pursuing perfection
Our healthcare unit is also expert in pursuing claims for people
whose care has been negligent. We can assist in complaints against
healthcare providers right through to multi-million pound
claims.
