Court Success
Our court success includes our ground-breaking defence of the
first ever litigated stress claim in Scotland, Cross v
Highlands & Islands Enterprise 2000. We also
successfully defended hundreds of claims for alleged physical and
mental abuse suffered at the hands of The Poor Sisters of
Nazareth in schools operated by this religious order. This
success continues in the recent important appeal decision of
Findleton v Quarriers 2010.
Our influence extends beyond the
Courtroom.
As market leaders, we are invited by the Scottish Parliament to
provide evidence to assist in the drafting of legislation. We have
also given evidence before the Justice Committee on disease related
matters.
